Project description
As the number of patients increases, healthcare facilities must expand their capacities and adapt their approaches to meet growing needs. However, due to limited financing, Ukrainian and Polish hospitals are unable to satisfy the demand for high-quality medical services. The TransCare project is a response to this challenge.
Hospitals in Lutsk and Siedlce aim to develop solutions in the field of long-term medical care that will positively impact the lives of their patients. This goal will be achieved through the renovation of hospital premises, equipment purchases, and the improvement of medical staff qualifications through training. In Siedlce, long-term care facilities will be expanded to include palliative, inpatient, and home care services. Diagnostic and preventive infrastructure will be improved, ensuring equal access to healthcare and supporting the transition from institutional care to family and community-based care. In Lutsk, an interactive real-time gait analysis laboratory will be created. This comprehensive tool will be used for the rehabilitation of patients with neurological and orthopedic problems, cardiovascular diseases, psychological disorders, as well as war invalids and geriatric patients.
Another important area of cooperation is providing care outside of hospitals. The partners will jointly develop a concept to enable and facilitate the implementation of mobile medical brigades. A publication on how to organize such services will be published on the partners’ websites and distributed among other medical units.
