Volyn Oblast delegation visits Dolj County in Romania
From January 14 to 16, 2026, a working visit of the Volyn Oblast delegation took place in the city of Craiova (Dolj County, Romania) as part of the efforts to establish regional cooperation and strengthen institutional relations. This visit followed the signing of a cooperation agreement between Dolj County and Volyn Oblast in November 2025.
The delegation, headed by the Deputy Head of the Volyn Regional State Administration, Denys Denyshchenko, also included: from the Lutsk City Council – Anna Vintsiuk, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Project Activities; from the Volyn RSA – Olena Begal, Head of the Department of European Integration and International Cooperation, and Yurii Lehkodukh, Head of the Department of Healthcare.
During the visit, an official meeting was held with the President and Vice President of the Dolj County Council, the Deputy Mayor of Craiova, and the Director of the County Hospital. At the meeting, the parties presented their activities and outlined proposals for cooperation. In particular, Anna Vintsiuk informed the Romanian side about the city of Lutsk, its key development areas, and projects being implemented in the Lutsk community, expressing interest in developing inter-municipal cooperation.



The working visit program also included a visit to Craiova City Hall and a meeting with the Deputy Mayor, as well as visits to the County Hospital, the Craiova Art Museum, the Oltenia Museum, and the International Airport in Craiova.



Dolj County and the city of Craiova are leaders in Romania in attracting European Union funds for development projects. Within the framework of Romania’s EU membership, an international airport has been built, transport infrastructure updated, healthcare, education, and sports facilities created or renovated, and architectural monuments restored with EU funding.



During the visit, the parties exchanged experiences, confirmed their interest in developing cooperation, discussed possible areas of collaboration, and outlined next steps for implementing mutually beneficial partnerships.
