Representatives of Lutsk City Council participated in the Community Integrity Forum
Secretary of Lutsk City Council Yurii Bezpiatko and Head of the Department for the Prevention and Detection of Corruption Oleksandr Romaniuk took part in the Community Integrity Forum, held on October 30 at the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP).
The event was organized with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Program, the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI), and the UNDP in Ukraine, with funding from the Government of Japan. Around 100 representatives of state and local authorities, international partners, and civil society organizations attended.
Yurii Bezpiatko shared the experience and best practices of implementing anti-corruption programs in the Lutsk City Territorial Community.

During the forum, representatives of the U-LEAD with Europe Program announced a national initiative to build a culture of integrity, which is expected to involve more than 250 communities. The initiative aims to strengthen transparency, accountability, and integrity in local self-government bodies and to foster an overall culture of integrity in Ukraine’s recovery and development processes. It will be implemented by the NGOs "Agency for Recovery and Development" and "Foundation for Institutional Development," with financial support from U-LEAD with Europe.

Forum participants were also introduced to a universal methodology for assessing the integrity of municipal enterprises, developed by the NACP in cooperation with the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine (EUACI).
“Local self-government bodies are a key element of the state’s anti-corruption infrastructure. Being closest to citizens and managing significant resources, they must not only comply with anti-corruption standards but also foster a culture of integrity – the foundation of public trust in government,” emphasized Viktor Pavlushchyk, Head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention.
