Lutsk City Mayor meets with Brussels-Capital Regional Parliament Member Olivier Willocx
Lutsk City Mayor Ihor Polishchuk met with Olivier Willocx, a member of the Brussels-Capital Regional Parliament, to discuss potential cooperation in implementing the “Get Ready for Europe” project in the Lutsk City Territorial Community.
This project is a European educational and integration initiative aimed at preparing Ukraine for EU membership through the development of human capital. The program involves both Ukrainian citizens who remain in the country and more than five million Ukrainians currently living in the European Union. “Get Ready for Europe” focuses on spreading knowledge about the EU and promoting European integration through education.
On August 19-20, a two-day in-person training for trainers titled “Ambassadors of European Integration” was held at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv as part of the “Get Ready for Europe” project. The event was organized with the support of the State Service for Education Quality of Ukraine. Its target audience included university lecturers and high school teachers interested in implementing European approaches in education. Olivier Willocx suggested organizing a similar event in Lutsk.
