Solemn Academy on the occasion of Lutsk 928th anniversary
On August 25, 2013 at Teatralnyi Maidan (Theater Square) the solemn Academy on the occasion of Lutsk 928th anniversary took place.
Among the honorable guests there was Consul General of Poland in Lutsk Beata Brzywczy, authorized representatives of the Council of Europe: Oliver Freeman and Chris Baldwin.
On Lutsk City Mayor’s invitation the official delegations from 6 countries of the world participated in celebrations: the Republic of Belarus (the City of Brest, headed by the Deputy Mayor of Brest City Council Sergei Yakubovskii), the Czech Republic (the City of Kyjov, headed by the Deputy Mayor Antonín Kuchař), Georgia (represented by the Head of Gori Municipality David Razmadze), Lithuania (the City of Trakai, headed by the Mayor Vytautas Zaleckas; the City of Kaunas, headed by the Deputy Director of Administration Steponas Vaičikauskas), the Republic of Poland (the City of Lublin, represented by the President of the city Krzysztof Żuk and Head of the Council of Lublin Piotr Kowalczyk; the City of Olsztyn, headed by the First Deputy Mayor Bogusław Szwedowicz; the City of Białystok, headed by the Deputy Mayor Aleksandr Sosna; the City of Zamość headed by the Deputy Mayor Tomasz Kossowski; the City of Chełm, headed by the Secretary of the city Elżbieta Grzyb; the City of Rzeszów, headed by the Deputy Mayor Roman Holzer; the City of Toruń, headed by the deputy of the Council Barbara Królikowska-Ziemkiewicz), the Kingdom of Sweden (headed by the Deputy Mayor Jens Sjöström).
