General information
The State Voter Register (hereinafter called the Register) - is an automated information and telecommunication system intended to data processing and storage the containing information prescribed by the law, its usage, created to provide the civil registration of сitizens of Ukraine who have the right to vote in accordance with Article 70 of the Constitution of Ukraine.
Main goals of the Register:
• maintenance of Personalized Record Keeping of voters;
• drawing up lists of voters to hold an election at various levels,
All-Ukrainian and local referendums.
The department cooperates with the relevant structural divisions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, territorial bodies of central executive authorities, executive bodies of local government, election committees, referendum commissions and institutions, establishments, organizations of all forms of ownership, citizens associations and individual citizens.
Bodies of Register maintenance have three-level structure :
• manager of the Register (the Register custodian);
• regional Register administration bodies (regional administrators);
• Register maintenance bodies.
Maintenance of Register includes organizational and legal preparation and implementing the following actions :
• making an entry of the voter to the Register database;
• introduction of amendments to the personal data of the Register;
• destroying the record of Register.
Voters 's personal data is added to the Register database in the form of a record - a set of all voter's personal data.
Each voter has only one entry in the Register.
