Lutsk launches "Be the First" business school project
The Department of Economic Policy has launched a new initiative called "Be the First" business school project.
The goal of this project is to cultivate motivation for leadership, initiative, and entrepreneurship among students in schools. This will be achieved by teaching them basic business skills, encouraging creative thinking, promoting teamwork, and providing hands-on experience in developing their own ideas and projects.
The project is being implemented under the slogan: "It’s not our first time being first!" Specifically, the program includes:
- Entrepreneurship training for school students under the mentorship of professional instructors from Lutsk National Technical University (LNTU), Business and Law School, and teachers from participating city schools;
- Gaining practical business skills through interaction with economically active businesses and entrepreneurs operating within the Lutsk City Territorial Community;
- Development of relevant startups and business plans by project participants;
- Implementation of business ideas in compliance with current legislation.
Key activities of the project include:
- Educational sessions (workshops, lectures, and role-playing games);
- Mentoring meetings, business tours, and masterclasses;
- Excursions to production facilities;
- Development and competitive presentation of business plans;
- A final forum (presentation and summary session).
As a result of their participation, students will acquire the knowledge and skills needed to engage in entrepreneurial activity. The project also aims to foster cooperation between schools, universities, and businesses to create a supportive and sustainable environment for entrepreneurship.
Mentorship support is expected from entrepreneurs and LNTU. A final public event will be held, where projects will be presented to an independent jury, and the best projects will have the opportunity to receive microgrants for implementation.
