Lutsk City Council delegation shares experience in attracting grant funding

The workshop “How communities can successfully attract external funding” took place at the Sheptytskyi Center of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv. The event brought together government officials, community leaders, department heads, representatives of relevant institutions, donors, and members of civil society organizations. The main focus of the workshop was the presentation of the guidebook “How communities can successfully attract external resources”. The publication is based on nearly 50 interviews with experts, donors, and community representatives, including from the Lutsk City Territorial Community.

Lutsk City Council was represented by Anna Vintsiuk, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Project Activities, and Anastasiia Klushyna, Head of the International Relations Division within the same department.

Anna Vintsiuk shared Lutsk’s experience in implementing international projects and spoke about cooperation with international partners.

The workshop also examined institutional and organizational models used by communities to attract external funding. Examples of successful grant acquisition in both large and small Ukrainian communities were presented.

At the conclusion of the event, valuable insights on effective strategies for securing grant funding were provided by representatives of the CITIES4CITIES initiative, as well as donor programs and organizations such as UNDP, U-LEAD with Europe, and the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
