Delegation of Lutsk City Council Made a Working Visit to Groningen, Netherlands

A delegation from Lutsk City Council paid a working visit to the city of Groningen (Kingdom of the Netherlands), where they participated in the YES Forum and meetings of the working group for the project “Increase young people’s interest and impact in the municipality decision making process” from June 2 to 5, 2025. The project is jointly implemented by the Executive Committee of the Lutsk City Council and the Municipality of Piteå (Kingdom of Sweden), with financial support from the Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy (ICLD).

The delegation included: Anna Vintsiuk, Head of the International Cooperation and Project Activities Department; Zaryna Datsyk, Head of the Youth Policy Division of the Youth and Sports Department; Khrystyna Slovik, Head of Youth Council at Lutsk City Council.

The YES Forum is a European network of organizations cooperating in the fields of youth policy and social work. The network has been active for over 20 years. The forum’s program included a visit to the Groningen Provincial Government Building, panel discussions, and interactive networking events with representatives of international organizations, including NGOs, focused on successful transnational cooperation and grant project implementation.

Forum participants also took part in study visits to local and regional institutions, including the Stichting SCN youth center for technology and creative development, and the Simon van Hasselt school for students with special educational needs.

The delegation was invitated by the Municipality of Piteå (Sweden). The event served as a valuable opportunity to discuss the details of the youth project between Lutsk and Piteå, to explore best European practices in youth work, and to build new multilateral connections.
