Clean and quality water for Lutsk schools
The team of the Municipal Enterprise "Lutskvodokanal", with the financial support of UNICEF and the Lutsk City Council, is launching a project to provide educational institutions with high-quality drinking water.
The enterprise has already received all the necessary equipment sets – water purification stations and modern drinking fountains, which will soon be installed in 15 general education schools and one healthcare facility. Installation work will begin next week and will gradually cover all planned institutions.
Thanks to this project, children and school kitchen staff will have access to specially purified water for drinking and food preparation.
Why is this project important?
- Children’s health. The water will undergo additional purification and balancing according to all required standards, which is especially important for children.
- Developing healthy habits. Modern drinking water stations will encourage students to regularly drink enough water, positively affecting their well-being and academic performance.
- Economic impact. Every year, parents spend significant amounts on bottled water – across the city, this totals about 80 million hryvnias. Implementing this project will help save these funds or redirect them to other needs.
- Reliability and sustainability. The equipment will be maintained by Lutskvodokanal, with continuous quality monitoring and prompt response to any changes.
