Lutsk City Council to Establish a Coordination Council on Volunteering
We met with representatives of the volunteer community. Two main issues were discussed:
- the establishment of a Coordination Council on Volunteering under Lutsk City Council;
- the establishment of a Rapid Response Group to address crisis and emergency situations.
As for the Coordination Council, the draft Regulations have undergone several rounds of public discussion and a public consultation process. Applications from those wishing to join the Council will be accepted starting next week.
As for the proposed Rapid Response Group, given the current situation, volunteer organisations have expressed their willingness to take part in providing urgent assistance to residents of the community affected by the increasingly frequent Russian attacks.
The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Mayor Iryna Chebeliuk, who thanked the volunteers for their commitment and tireless work.
