“I am glad to welcome you in Lutsk. I would like to express our gratitude on behalf of all the residents of our city, Volyn region and Ukraine for the support that our country receives from the Republic of Lithuania in such difficult times,” said Ihor Polishchuk. “It is very important to us that you are not afraid to come to the country where war is raging, as one can never know where a missile will hit. Unfortunately, there is danger all over the territory. However, your courage demonstrates your great support, and we are deeply grateful for it."

Ihor Polishchuk pointed out that starting from 2010, the city of Lutsk has been maintaining partnership and friendly relations with the city of Kaunas, as well as the Trakai and Taurage districts of Lithuania. In particular, Kaunas donated 6 Solaris Urbino 12 buses packed with hygiene products and food inside. The Trakai district sent a large batch of medicines. The Taurage district donated 7 tonnes of humanitarian aid and transferred EUR 20,000 of financial support to the account of the Municipal Enterprise “Lutskvodokanal” to improve the humanitarian situation in the community.
