Lutsk City Mayor meets "Gymnasiade ISF U15" medal-winning athletes
Lutsk Mayor Ihor Polishchuk met with young boxers from Lutsk who took part in the “Gymnasiade ISF U15” World School Sports Games held from April 4 to 14 in Zlatibor, Serbia. The athletes brought home two gold medals and one silver. Ivan Petrovchuk and Arina Kotsyrii claimed gold, while Mariia Lopushenko earned silver.
Mayor Polishchuk congratulated the young athletes on their achievements and wished them continued success in even higher-level competitions.
“Thank you for promoting our city and raising its profile. Sports are never easy — they require discipline, self-restraint, and self-control, especially when there are so many distractions around. Thank you for your excellent results. I wish for peace to come as soon as possible, so that you can train without the emotional burden and hardships that, unfortunately, the war has brought us,” the mayor said.
