Youth survey conducted in Lutsk as part of Ukrainian-Swedish grant project
On October 16-17, at the Department of Administrative Services, focus group meetings were held as part of a sociological study conducted within the grant project “Increase young people’s interest and impact in the municipality decision making process.” The project partners are the Lutsk City Territorial Community and the Municipality of Piteå (Kingdom of Sweden).
The project is implemented with the support of the Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy (ICLD) and funded through a grant from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), a government agency under the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden.
The aim of the study is to identify the needs of young people, particularly regarding their participation in community decision-making, the development of civic competencies, and their interest in political participation and leadership.
The participants of the event were young people aged 14 to 22. During the discussions, they had the opportunity to share their views on how young people see the city and how they can influence the development of the Lutsk City Territorial Community, what barriers exist on this path, and which participation tools they consider most effective. In addition, interviews were conducted with specialists who work with youth.

As part of the sociological study, in addition to the focus group work and interviews with specialists, an online survey is also being conducted via a Google Form shared on social media platforms Facebook and Instagram.
