An international conference “Education Development of Ukraine in War and Peace” (EDUWAP) was held in the cities of Kraków and Krosno (Republic of Poland)
                        In the cities of Kraków and Krosno (Republic of Poland), an international conference entitled “Education Development of Ukraine in War and Peace” (EDUWAP) was held.
The international conference brought together representatives from Ukraine, Poland, Northern Ireland, and the United States of America.
The EDUWAP initiative is aimed at expanding international, inter-institutional cooperation to implement projects in the fields of higher and general secondary education and to provide support for veterans. The target region for the initiative is the Lutsk City Territorial Community. Lutsk City Council was represented at the event by Anna Vintsiuk, Head of International Cooperation and Project Activities Department.
During the ceremonial opening of the conference, held in the seminar hall of Collegium Novum of Jagiellonian University, Valentyna Kuzmin, Vice-Consul of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Kraków, delivered a presentation on the condition of Ukrainian education under the circumstances of the ongoing armed russian aggression against Ukraine.
To advance the implementation of the EDUWAP initiative, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the city of Krosno. The document was concluded between: Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University (Lutsk, Ukraine), St. Mary’s University College (Belfast, Northern Ireland), James Madison University (Harrisonburg, USA), Old Dominion University (Norfolk, USA), Jagiellonian University (Kraków, Poland), State University of Applied Sciences (Krosno, Poland).


During the event, Anna Vintsiuk presented information on the activity of the Lutsk City Territorial Community in the areas of cooperation with international partners and the implementation of grant projects.
Anatolii Tsos, Rector of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, spoke about the university’s development strategy under wartime conditions.
Conference participants took part in workshops dedicated to the development of collaborative project ideas and discussed several important topics, including: the culture of public mental health during wartime, education as a tool for survival amid information warfare, psychological support for vulnerable population groups.
