New Secretary of City Council appointed following Lutsk City Mayor’s resignation
Ihor Polishchuk has stepped down from his position as Lutsk City Mayor. The resignation was announced on March 25 during the 90th session of the Lutsk City Council, where he submitted a personal statement relinquishing his duties. Council members approved the decision by majority vote.
Ihor Polishchuk expressed gratitude to city residents, municipal staff, council members, and executive committee representatives for their cooperation and support. He noted that despite challenging circumstances, the city and its community had seen meaningful improvements.

During the same session, the council elected Kateryna Shkloda as the new Secretary of Lutsk City Council. Her appointment followed a secret ballot vote among city council members, enabling the council to continue operating under Ukrainian local governance law.
