Lutsk Welcomes Representatives of the Business Tourism Association of Ukraine and Tour Operators
The Tourism and City Promotion Department initiated a visit by representatives of the Business Tourism Association of Ukraine and tour operators, which took place on 23–24 July 2026. The main purpose of the meeting was to present Lutsk's potential as a venue for large-scale conferences, forums, corporate events, and international meetings.
Over the course of two days, the visiting delegation closely examined Lutsk's tourism and business infrastructure, assessing the potential of its conference halls, hotel complexes, business spaces, and cultural and historical sites.
As part of a packed programme, the guests visited Lutsk Upper Castle and the "Okolny Castle" museum space, where they learned not only about the venues' potential for hosting events and conferences, but also about the tourism appeal of these sites, which together create a unique experience of visiting Lutsk.
A working meeting took place at the Lutsk Business Space with the participation of First Deputy Mayor Iryna Chebeliuk. The event made a positive impression on the visiting delegation and confirmed the city's readiness to develop modern infrastructure for business events and to strengthen Lutsk's position as one of Ukraine's business tourism hubs. Participants also discussed opportunities for hosting business events of various formats and prospects for cooperation with the Volyn Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and visited the "Diia.Business" Entrepreneur Support Centre.
Particular attention was paid to the city's hotel infrastructure. The delegation reviewed the facilities offered by the Optima Collection River Park, Ribas Rooms Lutsk, and Noble Boutique hotels, the "Ukraina" hotel, the "Sribni Leleky" hotel and restaurant complex, and the "Adrenalin" Art Hostel, inspecting room stock, conference halls, and other infrastructure for hosting participants of business events.
At the "Adrenalin City" creative and recreational centre, including the Korsak Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art, guests were shown a modern multifunctional space combining art, cultural events, and facilities for large-scale gatherings.
The familiarisation tour marked another step in the ongoing effort to develop and promote Lutsk as a promising business tourism hub. At the same time, the visit forms part of preparations for the 600th anniversary, to be marked in 2029, of the Congress of European Monarchs — an event that underscores Lutsk's historical role as a venue for international dialogue and partnership.
Following the visit and the professional discussions held, participants identified not only the city's strengths but also the challenges that city authorities, the community, and businesses need to address together.
Among the key challenges of developing business tourism in Lutsk, participants noted:
- a limited supply of premium-segment hotels and the absence of international hotel chains, which makes it difficult to host large delegations and international speakers;
- suboptimal rail connections, including the lack of convenient direct services and a comfortable train schedule (particularly night and high-speed services), which complicates logistics for event participants from different regions of Ukraine;
- the need to strengthen Lutsk's positioning as a city for business events, conferences, and professional meetings, rather than solely as a centre for cultural, sightseeing, and weekend tourism.
At the same time, identifying these areas for development provides a clear understanding of the next steps needed to improve the city's infrastructure, deepen cooperation between authorities and businesses, and strengthen Lutsk's position on Ukraine's business tourism map.
