Lutsk City Mayor Ihor Polishchuk meets with Mayor of Saint-Étienne Gaël Perdriau (French Republic)
Lutsk City Mayor Ihor Polishchuk held a meeting with a delegation from the city of Saint-Étienne (French Republic). The meeting was attended by Gaël Perdriau, Mayor of Saint-Étienne; Mikaël Rancier, Head of the Mayor’s Office of Saint-Étienne; Denys Denyshchenko, Deputy Head of the Volyn Regional State Administration; and heads of relevant municipal departments.
During the meeting, the parties spoke about the history and cultural heritage of Lutsk, as well as international projects currently being implemented by the local community, which are helping to promote energy efficiency, improve infrastruct.ure and technology, and reduce air pollution
In turn, Mayor Gaël Perdriau of Saint-Étienne expressed his condolences over the recent missile attack on Lutsk. "We admire your courage and bravery, and we express our support during this difficult time. Our goal is to improve the lives of the residents of our cities. To achieve that, we must stay informed and proactive in solving important issues. It is crucial to build a partnership between our cities to move closer to this goal," he noted.
It’s worth mentioning that Mayor Perdriau’s position reflects his full support for Ukraine in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The two sides also discussed future opportunities for cooperation in various fields.
For context, Saint-Étienne is one of France’s leading industrial and cultural centers. The city has successfully transitioned from traditional industry to a modern economy focused on innovation, design, and sustainable development.
