Шосте заняття освітнього курсу «Українська мова та місцеві традиції» у Луцьку
19 серпня у бібліотеці-філії № 6 м. Луцька («Час читати») комунального закладу «Публічна бібліотека Луцької міської територіальної громади» відбулося шосте заняття освітнього курсу для нових мешканців нашого міста «Українська мова та місцеві традиції».
Заняття традиційно провела Оксана Приймачок – кандидатка філологічних наук, доцентка кафедри української мови та лінгводидактики Волинського національного університету імені Лесі Українки.
Темою заняття було «Їжа як культурна спадщина: страви Волині, слова і рецепти». Пані Оксана нагадала слухачам про багатство та образність української мови, зачитавши тематичні прислів’я.
Особливий інтерес викликала розповідь про страви нематеріальної культурної спадщини Волині – мацик, чорний борщ, пироги-крупники, чорні вареники та інші. Для багатьох учасників, які прибули із східних регіонів України, ця інформація була новою та пізнавальною. На завершення учасники поділилися кулінарними особливостями своїх рідних місцевостей.
Курс «Українська мова та місцеві традиції» вже об’єднав кілька десятків учасників і є складовою серії освітніх подій «Луцьк багатоголосий: мова, історія і традиції спільнот Луцька», що тривають з липня по вересень 2025 року.
Захід організовано в межах проєкту «Міста взаємності: інтеграція через міжкультурний діалог», який реалізується департаментом культури Луцької міської ради у партнерстві з містами Люблін (Польща) та Павлоград (Україна) за підтримки Програми Ради Європи «Інтеркультурні міста» (ICC) та фінансується Радою Європи.

Sixth Session of the Educational Course “Ukrainian Language and Local Traditions” in Lutsk
On 19 August, the sixth session of the educational course “Ukrainian Language and Local Traditions” for new residents of our city took place at Library Branch No. 6 in Lutsk, a subdivision of the Municipal Institution “Public Library of the Lutsk City Territorial Community”.
The session was traditionally conducted by Oksana Pryimachok, Candidate of Philological Sciences and Associate Professor at the Department of Ukrainian Language and Language Didactics of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.
The topic of the class was “Food as Cultural Heritage: Dishes of Volyn, Words, and Recipes.” Ms. Oksana reminded the participants of the richness and expressiveness of the Ukrainian language by reading thematic proverbs.
Particular interest was sparked by the presentation on dishes belonging to the intangible cultural heritage of Volyn — matsyk, black borshch, pie-khrupnyk, black dumplings, and others. For many participants who had arrived in Volyn from the eastern regions of Ukraine, this information was new and insightful. At the end of the session, participants shared the culinary traditions of their native regions.
The course “Ukrainian Language and Local Traditions” has already brought together several dozen participants and is part of a series of educational events “Lutsk Multivocal: Language, History, and Traditions of Lutsk Communities”, taking place from July to September 2025.
The event was organized within the framework of the project “Cities of Reciprocity: Integration through Intercultural Dialogue”, implemented by the Department for Culture of Lutsk City Council in partnership with the cities of Lublin (Poland) and Pavlohrad (Ukraine), with the support of the Council of Europe’s Intercultural Cities (ICC) Programme, and with funding from the Council of Europe.
